The snow flakes are made from “Esspapier” the English synonym would be edible wafer paper, or rice paper. I used a punch normally used for paper. You can get them in much variations here. You know them especially as nori punches.
And to answer your question about the orange and white stars: They are no sweets, they are made out of baked sweet potato.
Hm, oh, you may like to know that around the angel is lamb curry with onions.
The small red dot’s are indeed pomegranate.
